Queen Elizabeth Gardens There is a (largely neglected) plaque, in the park, explaining the origin of the name “Queen Elizabeth Gardens”. A row of maple trees were planted by the City, on June 2nd. 1953, to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
