July 1st the date that most leases on the island of Montreal expire.  This year, tenants have become more environmentally friendly with their discarded furniture.  Rather that leaving it for the City to collect – several large pieces were strategically placed on the sidewalk for others to give them a “second life”.

The sun broke through the dark clouds and the party started!  Music, food trucks and a beer tent!  Happy Canada Day Westmount!

The weather for the long Canada Day weekend is, so far, is not “cooperating” with the City’s plans for tomorrow’s festivities.  The plus side, is that we had the park to ourselves during our walk!
