Former service door behind Academy Road

This was quite likely used as a service lane (1920s) by the Canada Bread Co. (now part of Maple Leaf Foods) when their plant was located on 315 Melville Ave.

A house, off Abbott Ave. has one side full of ripe raspberry bushes during the summer. A sign reads “Free raspberries to good children”. The owner might give you a bush, for your garden, if you promise to return the container.
