Westmount Park – Carpet of Leaves A beautiful carpet of leaves by the park’s clay tennis courts. Luckily, we saw this early in the morning; they were removed (for good reasons) later in the day.
Westmount Park – Lagoon The park’s lagoon currently empty for the winter season. The park’s original designers knew how to design a pond that “created beauty” for pedestrians regardless of the seasons.
Westmount Park – Graffiti Graffiti in the park. It does occur; however, it is not a large problem. The City’s By-Laws provide very stiff penalties for those caught doing this.
Waiting Patiently waiting as I measure a Red Oak’s girth for my next (much longer) posting. (It was 290 cm).
Westmount – Flowering Trees The beautiful colours of a Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum) adjacent to the RCMP’s “C” Division Headquarters on Dorchester Blvd.
Smoke – “Upper Westmount” This looked like smoke, coming from somewhere near the summit, early in the morning. We could hear the fire trucks while walking through the park.
Westmount Park – Full Moon The moon over the park “greeting us” as we started our walk early this morning.
Westmount Park – Sunrise The sun rising, early this morning, viewed through the park’s trees. We do have a beautiful park!
