The park’s lawn, by the children’s playground, is currently covered with a blanket of Ginko leaves. We also came across a newly planted autumn flower bed on Academy Road near Park Place.

The days are getting shorter; however, walking through the park – this time of year – one can forget that winter is on the horizon.

I have been admiring the crescent moon that recently graces Westmount Park. During our evening dog walk we managed to capture a close-up view.

The brilliantly coloured tree is an Amur Maple that originates from China.

In the 1960s, City Council, stated that the park looked “ancient” and started a modernization plan. In doing so, I have always thought there was a “sale” when they bought these trees – there are (at least) 15 planted in the park.
