“You oughta be in pictures,,,Oh what a hit you will be!”
It has been several years since a movie production company has “camped” in our neighborhood. This evening we watched a portion of “The Gift” – a pre-production film shoot.
A sunny afternoon enjoying the feel of cool grass with friends. Our new puppy is the large (6 month old) Saint Bernard.
Summer weather has (finally) arrived – it’s almost the middle of June! The park’s grass has been mowed and the flower beds prepared for the (much too short) summer season.
We are looking forward to the floral displays this year – the City has decided to use their greenhouse staff (who, currently, do not have a greenhouse) to compliment the work provided by this year’s contracted landscaping company.

Westmount Park’s unofficial Crab Apple blossom festival. For some reason, this only occurs every two years.
Have you noticed the unique shade of green that only appears when a tree’s leaves first open? Coupled with Crab Apple blossoms and scented lilac bushes – they make a spectacular walk through the park.

Discovering the uniqueness of Westmount, on my part, always occurred during our long dog walks.
This is the newest member of our family that will help me continue this project. She is 4 months old and weighs 60 pounds! (Yes, she is a Saint Bernard).
For some reason, March always brings a final snow storm before the end of winter. This month was no exception – only dog walkers braved the elements this evening. (Kudos to the City for their excellent job in clearing the park’s paths!)
