Monday evening’s walk – another one of autumn’s days with short daylight hours.

The park’s lagoon is now drained in preparation for the winter season.  The summer’s resident Mallard ducks, with their grown chicks, have started their migration to the southern and Midwestern U.S.  They return to Canada between February and March.  (Did you know that only the female Mallard’s “quack”? (The males make a harsh “grating” noise!).
