  1. Michael, Kicthener was very familiar to me having travelled it back and forth to St.Leo’s Academy, the student entrance of which was on Kicthener.  Argyle I either passed on my way home up Cote St Antoine To Victoria Ave or whenever there was something on at the Synagogue or St Matthias Church (funerals) and the police had the road blocked we headed up Argyle to Westmount Ave and then to home.  I remember Kichener very well but had to go to Google street view to refresh Argyle.   Braeside I can never remember having been up it, no doubt being a cul de sac and we would not use it to get anyplace else.  I always enjoy you street/avenue histories. As an aside, I now live in Sydney, NS.  We became friends with another couple here and one day I overheard one of them mentioning Roslyn School.  I interjected and asked if it was the one in Westmount.  It turned out that the wife of our friend couple grew up like me on Victoria Ave and the lady she was talking to grew up on Roslyn Ave.   Thank you.  Stay safe. I hope you have managed to get your Covid vaccine and are well. John Sent from Mail for Windows 1 From: Westmount OverlookedSent: Wednesday, April 28, 2021 8:13 PMTo: john.shaw.home@gmail.comSubject: [New post] Braeside Place michaelld2003 posted: " https://www.westmountmag.ca/westmount-places-and-their-stories-31/ "

  2. Michael, Before retirement I taught at Cape Breton University.  Like meeting the two others who grew up near me I wound up in an office adjacent to two other Montreallers and a McGill grad.  A friend here who is very close to us spent several years living on Mt. Stephen.  He has very fond memories of the concerts in Westmount Park and the Library. Small world. John Sent from Mail for Windows 10 From: Westmount OverlookedSent: Wednesday, April 28, 2021 8:13 PMTo: john.shaw.home@gmail.comSubject: [New post] Braeside Place michaelld2003 posted: " https://www.westmountmag.ca/westmount-places-and-their-stories-31/ "
