The second picture – the lane going from Melville to Metcalfe? If I am correct the apartments/condos that are in the picture used to be the Canada Bread plant. I used to play in that lane. Thanks for the comment. You are correct – it was a service lane (1920s) used by the Canada Bread Co. (now part of Maple Leaf Foods) when their plant was located on 315 Melville Avenue.

Micheal thank you for your photos of my second favourite park, after Stanley park. I grew up in Westmount and spent at least every other day at a park activity. I used to enjoy the Saturday night bandstand music and the real life sized checkers being played by the then elders. Keep on with your photos I truly enjoy each and everyone of them.
