I lived on Dorchester Boulevard many many moons ago and Montreal has changed so much then. Now, thanks to the miracle of the Internet and to the generosity of people like yourself, I can still stay up to date with this beautiful city and its people. But, this building is totally unfamiliar to me, unfortunately! Ah well ! C’est la vie ! It might just be the advancing years…
It was originally built as a post office and later occupied (briefly) by the Bank of Montreal. Over the years it has been repurposed with various merchants. Today, it contains commercial offices (I assume) with no pedestrian traffic allowed inside.
